Workshop on Early Warning Systems Organized by Prof. Daniel Heyen

08. May 2024

Prof. Daniel Heyen, along with Prof. Florian Diekert (University of Augsburg), Prof. Frikk Nesje (University of Copenhagen), and Dr. Soheil Shayegh (RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment, Milan), is organizing a workshop on early warning systems.

The workshop will focus on the phenomenon wherein dynamic systems often exhibit early warning signals before reaching critical tipping points. These insights, stemming from scientific literature, are increasingly gaining significance in social science research. Together with international guests from the fields of biology, economics, psychology, climate science, and engineering, the workshop aims to discuss the potential contribution of early warning signals to adaptation to the inevitable consequences of climate change.

The workshop will take place from May 16th to May 18th at Villa Denis.
