Institute for Technology and Work

The ITA is a non-profit institute of the Technical University Kaiserslautern. It was founded in 1995 and currently employs around 32 research assistants and assistants. 

The ITA combines basic research with interdisciplinary, application-oriented concepts for analyzing and formation of work and organization. The research results are addressed at small, medium-sized and large enterprises in the production and service sector, in non-profit and health care organizations and in public administrations. The director of the ITA, Professor Dr. Klaus J. Zink was the Chair owner for Industrial Engineering and Work Science at TU Kaiserslautern and is furthermore a member of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. This close accord guarantees the cooperation and the exchange between research, teaching and practice. As an institute recognized by the Senate, the institute's director and the staff of the institute continue to supervise and look after academic work by students of the Department of Business Studies and Economics.
